Rock Garden
Royal Botanical Gardens include six property areas.The Rock Garden has been renovated recently and now open for public. Initially, it was an old quarry. Hamilton city converted it to the garden in 1932 as an entrancing beauty to the city on the way from Toronto. Now we have Highway 403, and the Rock Garden is hidden from it.
Port Dover
The boat tour is a very romantic, and there are some on Lake Erie. So, we jumped into the car and hit the road. The place should be with the beach, port, and museum. Port Dover has all three. Continue reading “Port Dover”
Paris of Ontario
No more parks for this time. When we were in Conestoga, I realize that they started to look the same for me: water, trees, paths, and grass.
People, we missed people. Toronto and Hamilton have their beauty but small towns are special. Paris is one of them. The town claims to be “the Prettiest Little Town in Canada”. I don’t know about the whole Canada, but we love to visit Paris time by time. Continue reading “Paris of Ontario”
Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens

There are just a couple of weeks at the end of the spring when mountains of Siberia East, of Ireland, and of Washington State change the colour to purple. Rhododendrons bloom. Dutch Mill
Great place to visit with kids and without them. There are two main groups of visitors: families with preschoolers who came to see animals; and retirees who enjoy the relaxed lunch of home-made European style food. Dutch Mill is a farm which grows and sells seedlings, flowers, berries, vegetables and fruits in the season. For now, at the end of April, they do not have much yet. Continue reading “Dutch Mill”
